Asics Gel Noosa Tri 8 Womens – Breathable, Ultralight and Built For Speed
To be quite honest, I never have been much of an athlete. When I decided to get myself into shape, I looked around at the hundreds of options available for women’s running shoes. I was initially overwhelmed, and although it may sound incredibly shallow, the colors are what drew me to this shoe above all the others (especially The Asics Gel Noosa Tri 8 Womens Black Onyx Confetti). These shoes are almost like a work of art with the brilliant colors. This beautiful set of running shoes for women was made for the most extreme female athletes. The Asics Gel Noosa Tri 8 Womens running shoe is just as suited for triathlons as it is for cross training. Having dropped an ounce in weight, Asics have designed this lightweight running shoe to help you maximize your performance.
Asics Gel Noosa Tri 10 is listed in this article as one of the best cross training shoes for Plantar Fasciitis.
Asics Gel Noosa Tri 8 Womens Review
High Tech Benefits
Since I was just a beginner in the world of running, much less exercise, the Noosa Tri 8 was honestly a perfect fit for me. They are incredibly lightweight, having been made from a midsole material called Solyte. It provides a variation in density in the forefront and heel of the foot to give an overall more comfortable feel.
I’m not much one on technical terminology, but these shoes also boast of a feature called the Space Trusstic System which helps to maintain stability by creating a pocket next to the midsole. It also gives me the support I need in the midsole with Dynamic DuoMax as well as ASICS High Abrasion Rubber in the outsole (AHAR). I can tell when I’m wearing them that they will last me a long time and stand up to the everyday wear and tear I plan on giving them.
I do know that my fear of starting a running regimen has disappeared mostly due to the fact that my feet are so comfortable. Being a nurse, I’m always on my feet, so I was dreading the pounding my feet would take once I started running on a regular basis. Luckily, the ASICS GEL Noosa Tri 8 Womens are heaven on my feet. Since it has a breathable mesh upper, I haven’t had to endure any of the irritation I was expecting during my longer runs. There’s even a sock liner that helps keep my feet cool even on the hottest days.
Luckily I read up on some of the reviews before ordering mine, so I knew that they tend to run small. I ordered a size 9 since I normally wear a size 8.5. I would rather they be slightly too big than slightly too small. Thankfully, they fit beautifully. Having a perfect fit in a running shoe is incredibly important, as you don’t want to risk irritation and blisters. I can honestly say I haven’t experienced even the slightest bit of discomfort.
Compared to Nike Free Flyknit
When I put them on the first time I just knew I had made the right choice. I had considered going with another brand, like the Nike Free Flyknit. For starters, I preferred the appearance of the ASICS shoe much better. While the Nike shoe does have the same general bright colors, I just really like the almost modern art-like appearance the ASICS shoes have. Another thing I didn’t like about the Nike Flyknit was the fact that it felt like a sock, and not in a good way. When I tried them on at the shoe store, just by walking around the store for a few minutes I felt like the shoes kept eating my socks. They also seemed to put a lot of pressure on the tops of my feet.
Putting these shoes on for the first time was like heaven for my feet. I didn’t want to start off on the wrong foot, so to speak, so I started out with a brisk walk for a round trip mile. When I came back around to where I began, I felt like I could have kept on going without stopping; which is exactly what I did. I sped up and completed another round trip mile at a brisk jog. By the time I came back around again, I was winded, but that’s just because I was not in the best of shape to begin with.
Long Term Benefits
Since then I have made running a major part of my life. I’ve actually worked myself up to around 15 miles a week and considering where I started from, that is a major improvement. While I may not be the best runner, and I certainly won’t be signing up for any marathons any time soon, I honestly feel as though I could eventually. I’ve actually made that my next goal, to run in a 5k. I don’t think that is too lofty of a goal.
These shoes have made a huge impact on my life. When I first started running I could barely make it a mile without getting winded and feeling as though my lungs were going to collapse. I did have to start slow, a mile here and there at a brisk walk, working my way up to a slow jog. I am proud to say I can now sprint with the best of them. Maybe not for long distances, but I certainly have improved my stamina and endurance. I can now jog two miles without feeling as though my legs are going to fall off.
I’ve since been motivated to eat better as well, and have lost around 15 pounds. You wouldn’t think that a simple pair of shoes could make that much of a difference in your life, but they can. If it weren’t for this awesome pair of ASICS, I honestly don’t think I would have made it up off the couch like I did. Thanks to these beautifully colored running shoes, I am improving my health and well-being on a daily basis. My goal is to run in a marathon eventually, and for the first time in my life I feel like it is actually one I can accomplish. And no matter what, these shoes will be the ones to carry me over the finish line.
