The latest report from StockX, a prominent online marketplace and streetwear clothing reseller specializing in sneakers, highlights the five most counterfeited sneaker models of the year. These include the Nike Dunk Low Retro sneaker, Adidas Yeezy Slide Onyx sandals, Jordan 1 Retro High Dark Mocha sneakers, and Adidas Yeezy Slide Pure sandals.
Over the course of a year, between June 1, 2022, and May 31, 2023, StockX conducted a comprehensive analysis of items susceptible to counterfeiting. Their findings reveal the interception of counterfeit sneakers totaling over %30 million in value.
Counterfeits extend beyond sneakers, affecting the handbag market as well. The Telfar Shopping Bag Medium Black model takes the lead in this list, followed closely by the Goyard Saint Sulpice Green and the Prada Re-edition Shoulder Bag Nylon Black.

StockX, in its mission to ensure product authenticity and quality, conducts rigorous inspections of approximately one million products every month. The company asserts that it has rejected over $80 million worth of items that failed to meet their stringent quality control standards.
While counterfeiting remains a significant cause for rejection on the platform, StockX also declines items for other reasons. These include manufacturing defects (27%), damaged packaging and used products (13%), products that do not match their descriptions (12%), and items with incorrect sizing (11%).
In response to the increasing demand from its customer base, StockX has expanded its reach by establishing three new authentication centers. These centers, located in Berlin (as of August 2022), Tokyo (as of October 2022), and Mexico City (as of January 2023), further strengthen StockX’s commitment to ensuring the authenticity and quality of the products it offers.
