Monday again! Hope everyone enjoyed their extra hour of sleep yesterday!
I’m trying to be more consistent with my workouts so here’s last week.
30 minutes on the treadmill covering 3.1 miles and 15 minutes of abs with Nike Training Club App.
I hate the treadmill but the wind was blowing like crazy. With winter quickly approaching, I know soon I’ll need to bond with the treadmill to get my runs in. I’ll do it but I’m still not going to like it. Insert pouty face.
1 mile run with triceps dips, pushups, squats, and lunges.
I reeeeeally wasn’t feeling a workout on Tuesday. I lounged around and put it off for as long as possible, but I knew I’d feel better if I did something. I ended up running a mile, stopping about every quarter mile to do strength moves. It only took maybe 15 minutes and I felt good knowing I at least did a little something.
4 mile run in 37:22, 9:20 pace
This run just felt good! The route was fairly hilly but I felt strong and my splits reflected that. I wasn’t working on speed so I was surprised when my first mile popped up at 8:20. That is flying for me!
Body Sculpting class.
Another awesome class at the gym. We used resistance bands and balls and it kicked my booty!
2 mile run in 18:22, 9:12 pace
I was planning to run further but wasn’t feeling it. It wasn’t a bad run, but I couldn’t get into the groove so I cut it short.
50 minutes of yoga
I use the yoga videos on Runner’s World and highly recommend them if you’re looking to do more yoga at home.
Weekly Mileage: 10.1 miles
Miles to hit 500 for the year: 109.4. I’ve got my work cut out for me.
