I'd say there's no big difference between the two, but the 1080 seems to hold a little bit better in terms of durability.

So sorry for your foot issues. What kind of pain do you have? Heel, calf, shin, ankles...?

I'm a heavy runner at 235lbs and in my late 40s. I used Hoka bondi 6 and 7 for the last year, but due to them not helping my old man - knee pain, I tried other Hoka models, but they too didn't help. I recently began using NB 1080v10. They are much more responsive for faster runs and result in less knee pain/discomfort.

I put over 550 miles on my New Balance 1080 v10 shoes and they hold up! Technically looking to go to v11, but tempted to just get another v10. I could run fairly far and fast at 180-200lbs at 8-10min pace. For comparison of unequal shoes, I just did a marathon in NB fuel cell propel v2. That was painful. End of story. The 1080v is an amazing shoe.
